Overview:
Zero Point Upadhye Foundation invites supporters to join our Healthy School Meals program, focused on ensuring that children in Mahishawadagi and surrounding communities receive regular, nutritious meals while at school. Good nutrition is a foundation for learning; when children eat well they can concentrate better, participate fully in class, and build a stronger future.
What your donation will support:
- Preparation and distribution of balanced school meals using locally sourced ingredients.
- Basic kitchen supplies and safe food storage to maintain hygiene and quality.
- Nutrition awareness sessions for caregivers and school staff to reinforce healthy eating and food safety practices.
- Training and guidance for local cooks/volunteers on preparing nutritious, culturally appropriate meals.
- Monitoring and simple record-keeping to ensure meals reach children consistently and safely.
Ethos and approach:
We work collaboratively with local schools, family caregivers and community volunteers to design meals that are nutritious, acceptable to children, and realistic within local food systems. Emphasis is placed on hygiene, food safety, and sustainability—encouraging the use of seasonal, locally available foods whenever possible. Donations are used specifically for program inputs and activities; we aim for transparent stewardship and regular updates to donors about how contributions are being used.
How to support:
You can donate to the Healthy School Meals program to cover ingredients, basic kitchen equipment, training materials and small operational needs. For inquiries or to discuss in-kind contributions, contact Zero Point Upadhye Foundation at:
